Computer defragmentation; why is it important for a PC? Why does it seem to help a system run faster than before? This article is written to help people understand that importance of defragging their systems so they can get their PC’s to last longer.
Every computer that people have and is at the retail stores that are ready for purchase has a hard drive that needs to be reorganized and optimized. Most people never take the time to learn that they system needs certain maintenance and instead when it freezes up; they become upset they immediately begin thinking that they need a new one.
The best thing about taking the time to maintain your system is that it will let you know when it is time ot clean it out.
So you may be wondering why is it so important to defrag my computer? Well the hard drive in your computer is composed of several disks or platters. When data gets written on the hard drive; it is written in a continuous fashion. You may be thinking well I have deleted a lot of my files from my hard drive; but what you do not know is that even if you delete the files; bits and pieces of the files remain on the hard drive. When you add more files to it then you are just adding more data and eventually it becomes too much of broken files for your hard drive to handle.
Basically it means that when you defrag your computer it gets everything on your system back into order and gets it running fast again.
You may find that you are kind of confused the first time you are trying to defrag your system; however as you do it again then you will notice that it will become easier. It is the same with everything that it is always the hardest the first time.
It is easy to run the whole process on your system and once you finish it then you will be glad that you did. Make sure that you do it every so often; but remember that most of the time you will notice your computer sending you signals informing you that it requires attention.
Check your computer for “free” below and find out if the computer fragmentation worked or if you need further maintenance.
